Travel teams offer experienced players opportunities to compete against other experienced players throughout Southern Maine.
Coaches, U12 and above, are required to complete a 16 hour E Coaching License course. U11 and below travel coaches are required to complete a 4 hour Youth Coaching Module. Both of these courses are administered by the state soccer organization, Soccer Maine.
Eligibility: USYSA uses the player’s age as of August 1st to determine the age appropriate team to roster player.
Travel players are placed on teams based on tryouts. Tryouts will be held in late spring or early summer; dates and times will be announced when registration opens.
Travel practices may start in July. Games will continue through mid-October. Typically, teams will play one game each Sunday at locations throughout the Greater York County area. Also, teams may compete in one or more tournaments. Typically, MUSC teams play in the Sanford Columbus Day Weekend Tournament.
U12 and above Teams may qualify for an end of season championship tournament that extends into late-October or early-November.
Travel team players must purchase uniforms at an additional expense. The cost for Jersey, Shorts, and Socks is $65.00 Player will keep this uniform.
