1999 Class Reunion

Class of 1999 10th Reunion

The Class of 1999 will hold their 10 year Reunion on Saturday, August 29, 2009. Location - Camp Laughing Loon. Time - TBD. More information to follow.

Federal

As a result of the 2000 Census, the Congressional Districts for the State of Maine have been adjusted. All of the towns in the SAD #57 school district remain in the First District.

Just about anything you might want to know about the Federal government can be found on the web.

The Executive branch of the Federal government is currently headed by President Barack Obama (D - Illinois).

Maine's Senators and Representatives in Congress are part of the Legislative branch of the Federal government.

The United States Supreme Court is the highest and final arbiter of our Judicial branch of the Federal government.

The Small Business Administration offers help for starting a small business.

The Federal Consumer Information Center has a wealth of information and publications for consumers.

The Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA) World Fact Book has maps and information about every country in the world.

The US Department of Education has education related information for students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

State

As a result of a court ruling and the passage of two new laws, new State Senate, State House of Representatives, and County Commissioner districts have been established. These districts took effect for elections on or after June 8, 2004.

The State of Maine has a wealth of information available for residents, businesses, and tourists.

Daylight Saving Time

Since 2007, Daylight Saving Time has begun at 2:00 am on the second Sunday in March and ended at 2:00 am on the first Sunday in November. For 2009, Daylight Saving Time will begin on March 8 and end on November 1.

What is Massabesic?

Massabesic is the historical name that refers to a region of York County, Maine. It is also used to refer to Maine School Administrative District 57 which includes the towns of Alfred, Limerick, Lyman, Newfield, Shapleigh, and Waterboro.
